I see the OCR program muddled one line:

> obtained the following distribution: bottom, 58 cA; middle, 18 %; top, 24 %

It should read bottom, 58%.

> Do you know if Seeley did any study on their survivability based on entrance location Or does this study cover this?

It is not covered directly, but implicit in the data is that only nests from colonies that had survived were studied. So 58% of the colonies that survived had bottom entrances only. The ones that died, due to whatever factor, were not included in the data set.
