I don't know how Dee does it.   We have small cell frames, and buy resistant
queens.  We still have mite levels that are above tolerable levels.  We have
treated every hive for mites with some type of mite control product.  We
have had hives build up lethal levels of mites during the honey flow, and
crash and burn due to the mites.  All I can say is if you think small cell
is the answer good luck.
