This work was done, but I have forgotten by whom, I used the information 
to develop a system for raising two queencells in mating nucs. It should 
be searchable.

I will take a punt at this and say that I expect it to vary in some sort 
of proportion to the quantity of fresh pollen that is fed to the nurse 
bees while they are feeding the larvae.
