Here are my take aways:

Small Cell combined with specific management techniques and suitable stock works for for some in specific climates.

Not really, for with over 5,000 members from over 35 countries with beekeepers living in tropics around equator to high hills in alps/switzerland and Austria and nordic states and canada, alaska, and south east asia to you name it. It shows it is doable in all climates as far as I am concerned and many doing it now for long time............But it is a whole sustainable picture for doing and CLEAN!

continuing:
Research to date has focused largely on the effects of small cell and not on the other management or genetics that probably contribute to "success."

reply:
Not really properly focused on the effects of small cell for when found negating pests and diseases, the information was buried impov.............and agaion it's a whole picture in life for doing and not sound bites and pieces that mean nothing with quickie doings!!! for it either works long term for clean eating or it does not.

continuing:
Creating a study that looks just at the effects of small cell even if done over a period of years will be missing the effects of management and genetics.

reply;
Nope....can be done and had a contract for so showing USDA with technical exchange of information, but when shown ticks/mites/aka varroa and trachael mites were no problem and easily solved, things got shelved fast!............somehow?

continuing:
Creating a study that looks at the entire small cell methodology (as espoused by Dee and others) will be extremely complex (and expensive) due to the multitude of different elements to be tested.

reply;
Again, already done and not wanted.....for it would stop the flow of grant money and control with monsanto and others for $$............and gotta have problems for public to key to and not healthy lives for some reason..................though things seem changing in today's world.

And again nothing hard! just work in field and getting hands dirty and exercise all day.....and if this old woman now into medicare age stuff can do it...........then don't see why others cannot!!!!..........for us women sure do hard work then!!!  So come on out to Oracle, Ariz conference 1-3 Mar 2013 and see my yards in person if want to.............and how set up. Ask questions, etc. ...nothing hidden....all nice folks coming.
