I am no great fan of agricultural chemicals, however, I think it
instructive to note that back in 1978 (when I took weed science at ag
school), it costed $10,000,000 to clear a given chemical for a given crop.
If total crop value is below a certain point, the combination of costs to
clear and liability absorbed do not justify development.  Could this be the
reason for the dearth of products for varroa?
