Dear Group Members

We are about to start an experiment with heating of hives
in the spring to increase early strength.

We plan to insert resistor wires in the bottom, with
termostatic temperature control elements.

Do any of you have an idea of what our best strategy
would be?

We think og placing the control elements in such a way
that ideal temperature was ensured from the first
day of outside activity until summer temperatures was
normal.

This beeing Norway that is not so soon as many other
places, and we believe this extra heating would make
life easier for the bees.

What is the ideal temperature in the various places in the
hive during the spring?

Best Regards
