 Good Day, beekeepers -

As I teach my beekeeping classes I am always intrigued by the question I get asked that I had not thought of. Recently, I was asked about any interaction between wind farms and honeybees. There are a number of planned wind farms in our area. In particular, the question was about the droning sound that comes continuously from the wind machines. Do bees respond to this sound? Have there been any reports about bees in the area of wind farms?

Spring can't be far away. Thanks for any insights.
