>With any pesticide that does not target the nervous system I doubt that I
have anything to contribute to a discussion

Christina, the pesticides that I mentioned do specifically target the
nervous system. The organophosphates, the carbamates, the pyrethroids, and
the organochlorines are all neurotoxins. Some fungicides and herbicides
also have neurotoxic effects. As such, I had hoped that you could indeed
add to the discussion!

My question is why you, Ghislain, and others are focusing solely upon the
neurotoxic effects of the neonics, when in the real world bees are exposed
to a greater degree to other classes of neurotoxins--all of which would
have sublethal (or lethal) effects. I was not trying to introduce the
subject of viruses, etc.
