As illustrated on my website, the hives where the Apivar is installed have clusters in the top box (of three boxes) and the strips are placed two frames apart in the middle of the cluster.  The bees are not particularly active, but are patrolling the auger holes even at minus ten and flying a bit any day it is above freezing, sunny, and not windy.

At this point in the test, I am not seeing _any_ drop I can attribute to the Apivar, but this is just Day Five after applying it and maybe in cool weather, the active ingredient is not spread through the cluster as quickly as in warm weather.

I wonder, if when you did your tests if you tracked any control hives through winter and if any of that was published or otherwise made available?
