I've read that a hive should only be supered after 6 or 7 frames of the top box 
are full.  The only reason I've seen for waiting for this is that a hive may not 
be able to guard the extra space before then.  That reason doesn't make a lot 
of sense to me because adding a super doesn't change the size of the hive 
entrance.

When should a super be added?

What is the harm of supering early?
