On foundation holes:

When I bought foundation in the past, I always used to punch out the corners.
In looking through my stock of drawn comb, I find the bees always fill in
the corners. Conclusion: The bees find the passages under the frames to be
sufficient. The Pierco 1-piece frames+ foundation I now use don't have
holes.
