I have manually feed queens in cages with sugar syrup drops, and kept them
attached to myself (temp 37°C)  for over 10 days with 100% success. i have
used those queens afterwards in nucs with a high percent take.

At the same I guess that because the main feed for the queen is royal
jelly, that if you want a productive queen you can not trust on feed by
herself.
