Yes, have considered.  Is complex.

The pro side of antibiotic treatment is that it suppresses the immune stress
to the bees from bacterial infection of the mite feeding wounds.

The potential down side is that it may negatively affect the beneficial
bacteria in bee bread and in the bee gut.
