I’m afraid that I do not speak German but I downloaded and read the introduction in English

 • Freedom of choice
– Through labeling the consumer is enabled to
choose GM or non-GM food.
• Coexistence
– Production of non-GM food will be protected
through appropriate coexistence measures.
• Zero-tolerance
– Only events, which have been tested and
approved for human consumption may be placed
on the market.

This seems to be about choice, not about selling an inferior product under the pretence that it is what the consumer wants. 
I’m sorry but I don’t understand the problem. If it is that the “Jurisprudence de la Cour de justice” has ruled in favour of compulsory labelling there is still no problem, it is all about giving the customer the tools to make an informed choice.
