We are still here in the midwest of the USA. I am sure everyone is busy with the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season. Or out in their bee yards checking the bees.

We have had some nice mid 50s and 60 degree weather here in Central Illinois which has allowed the bees to take cleansing flights and perform undertaker duties to drag out the dead and remove other hive debris. I just finished checking the status of the winter supplemental feed on my colonies, using sugar bricks on some colonies, candy boards on others.

Jan 1 will be here before we know it.

Central Illinois
