Bees may have no teeth and weak mandibles but a few years back a
persistant honeybee regularly woke me in the morning by biting at my
bedroom window screen. A closer inspection indicated that it was indeed
a honey bee that seemed to be attacking the metal wire itself. I
suspected it was lacking in some mineral or other?
