A lot depends on what is in that stuff "HQ".
 
Is your friend offering this "advice" as a general principal or is he/she
picking on "HQ" in particular?
 
Does the label say about the active ingredients?
Does the label have any warnings about toxins?
Have you asked the manufacture?
