670nm LEDs produce "near infrared" light, and can be bought for under 2
bucks each in lots of 100 from Mouser Electronics and others.

This paper claims that deploying several high-power LEDs to produce 40mw/
square cm after a pesticide kill will help the surviving (bumble) bees
recover.
Not sure what to think about this, as it sets off my "quackery alarm".

I'd like to see a "dose effect", where less exposure to the near-IR resulted
in less improvement, but here is what they have now:
