Hi Bill Allen and all

If oxalic acid is applied using the drizzle method as is recommended
here in Ontario, 5ml of solution per seam of bees implies live bees
not dead or no bees. I apply this treatment in late November or
early December depending on the weather(in 2009 early Dec). Karen
wrote there was no brood, no bees dead or alive, lots of stores. I
do not believe that the bees would drag their dead sisters out before
leaving themselves to die outside the hive in winter. Therefore I
still think that they left, for whatever logical reason, before
winter set in.
