I like to submit a question to the list:
What are the methods that "commercial beekeepers" use to have those plastic
frames drawn out?
To be more specific let us use the following example: Someone wants to
increase from 1000 to 1200 hives during the same year (own nucs production);
Considering there will be a definite need to increase the amount of supers
and to have extra ones drawn out and when in fact the main flow will begin,
will full super(s) of 10 undrawn frames be added on top of the brood
chamber(s)? or, will a mixture of supers of drawn frames (if available) with
undrawn ones be prefered? - if so, mixed in which order? or, or, or.????
Would the idea of having a preselected amount of hives (few apiaries) with
the sole mission of having bees being fed sugar syrup)to draw frames out be
a viable option from a $ point of view? ...while the remaining apiaries will
be allowed to make a full honey production working on completely drawn
supers only. Is this done in reality?
Your comments are welcome and appreciated.
Thank you.
Vital
