> I think the question was efficacy and not dose????  I would say the the data from the honey bee health initiative showed thymol to show up at very large levels in lots of hives in the US.  Perhaps it is just me (and I would guess there are exception) but almost anything extranious in hive in high enough dosage will be harmful.
