I was wondering about top-hives; any comments good or bad would be
appreciated. This looks like the way to go for a person who has just a
couple of hives. How about honey production; how much compared to standard
hives? I only have five hives now;
(my first year), and the thought of having to get all that equipment next
year to extract and store supers is not pleasant. I keep bees with my
father who is in his seventies and top bar hives would be a lot less
weight for him to deal with.
        From my previous message; it is common to start fall nucs in east Texas,
usa.
Thanks,
Bob
