The Better Bee catalog has a wonderful cover showing a European bee yard
full of hives with peaked roofs rather than our American flat
"telescoping" covers. Are these covers in wide use in Europe? Are they
used to increase ventilation in moderate to warm climates? Are vents of
some kind incorporated? Would this design make sense in warm climates
here in the US. How about our northern climes - warm summer;cold
winter?
