So far we have had no problems with mites that I know of (famous last
words?).  Bees can only be imported with permission from USDA.  Of course
there is always the threat of bees coming in via shiiping containers and
other means from elsewhere.  Africanized bees have been found in nearby
St. Croix but none confirmed in St. Thomas yet.
