Amen to that. The first beekeeper I worked for back in 1974, referred to hitting the "big one" as if he was talking about the lottery. Any equation that combines weather, skill, adaptability and fickle markets is going to be pretty unpredictable. Has anyone ever heard of crop insurance for beekeepers? Who would underwrite such a thing!
