I just attended a backyard beekeeping class and I would like to get an
established hive to get me started. Being as I live in Gainesville, Florida
and the orange trees are beginning to blossom it does not seem very likely.
I did find an ex-beekeeper fellow who kindly offered to give me some
old/empty frames and supers. Would it be advisable to fumigate them and if
so how?

Any other information you may have to help a green-horn beekeeper would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kelley
