EO=Essential Oils.  

Agreed.  They can work, but weakly and unpredictably, and moreover different suppliers offer different chemical compositions and concentrations.

As for Apilife VAR, I have heard some good things, particularly if it is applied on four corners.

As I said, going in, though, none of the 'soft' treatments can save a hive with loads over 6%.

That said, I really do not have a lot of personal experince.  I am just repeating what I have heard.
