Hello all and Help,
I am looking for a recipe for fondant. I have searched the archives but all I was able to find was a request for the same but no response. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. I have a strong hive that feels light and do not wish to take a chance with them starving out this winter. Also, is there any reason not to make syrup as heavy as honey to feed as the season gets later and the bees have less time to process the feed. As the weather permitted I fed 2 parts sugar to 1 part water (66.6% solids). Could the bees process 80% solids (4:1) or would this be too thick?

I still have much to learn.
