Nerolic acid would be 3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadienoic acid. It is close to
Nerol, a citrus flavor volatile - (Z)-3,7-cis-dimethyl-2,6-octadien-1-ol
(also known as neryl alcohol). The bee pheromones have citrus/rose-like
odor characteristics.
