>Has anyone tried sterilizing bees wax by using the pressure cooker (as in
veggie canning) to sterilize small amounts of wax for use on repainting wax
onto cleaned plastic foundation comb?

Hi Mike,

Research by Dr Orantes-Bermejo in Spain indicates that heat treatment does
not remove the miticides. Normal melting would likely kill most parasite
spores, other than AFB. However, wax-encapsulated spores of AFB do not
appear to be very infective.
