> Particularly relevant in beekeeping,  such as your point that under supering is just as good.  Your relying on the argument of someone else who bothered to write it up. And in some cases you could defiantly show that’s true.   But yet when your told that its not always true,  you disagree,  because you haven’t seen the research. 

Nope. I have worked with bees for 40 years in multiple regions and my opinion is based primarily based on that. However, the research I have seen on the subject confirms what I already observed. I simply use it as authoritative corroboration of an observed fact. And I don't mean what they wrote, but what they DID.
