Ditto here.  Mites don't kill colonies--viruses do.  At least some Russians
appear to be quite resistant to DWV.

Re MAQS:
Mark, the "paper" on the MAQS is an expensive special polymer that slows
the release of the vapors.  I've seen the data on the actual formic vapor
levels in the hive, and the product does a surprisingly effective job at
holding them in the right range for the three main days of treatment.  The
strips are not yet perfect, but clearly a big step in the right direction.
