>Does anyone on the List know of any study that has looked at negative effects of OAV on open brood?

Yes, I shared one a in jan? it showed severe shedding of the gut lining and mortality of open brood. I will try to find it when I get home. Bottom line its hard on open brood, but in overall health of the hive, its generally a great thing.

I do have some experience with late fall dribble and would advise against it. Loss of brood at that time comes at to great an expense to the colony.
