They also depend on altitude.  I was in the Bavarian alps a couple of days
ago and the dandelions were in full bloom at <48N but >800 metres, but here at
52N at about 100 metres they are mostly over.

A couple of years ago in Austria at around 47N there was a patch of
dandelions in full bloom at the end of July at around 2500 metres.
