Dear Juanse and Allen and Bill,

How about we all show our calculations, since I come up with a different
number than any of you?

From Sammataro, et al--origanum oil at 0.06% of 1:1 sugar syrup

For 1:1 syrup 2000g =1667ml so SG = 1.2

US gallon = 3785ml so 1 gal = 4541g (you can confirm, since 5 lb of sugar +
2.5 qts (5 lbs) of water = 1+ gal 1:1 syrup, which would then weigh 10 lbs
total, or a bit over 4540 g.

So 4541 x .06% = 2.72g/gal

Sg of origanum oil = 0.95 so 2.86ml origanum oil per gallon

Please, check MY math, since there should be no dispute on simple math!
