The Texas beekeepers that I know seem to be in favor of the AHB trapping
program, even if it is run by Aggies. The civilians (non-beekeepers) are
thoroughly in favor of it. Initially, the state's swarm traps were a
bright blue color. Highly visible. Then the state went to another
design that was (a) less conspicuous and (b) cheaper. Immediately they
started getting calls about "where are the blue boxes? What are you
doing? Aren't you checking on those killer bees any more?" The state,
knowing who butters its bread, immediately went back to the blue boxes
and everybody seems mollified.

Even Aggies can figure a few things out.
