Hello,
It looks like we are going to get another day of summer, or is it spring! I
have a question. Last Friday I put a new queen into a split(capped brood
and bees). They had been without a queen for 72 hours. Sprayed everyone
with sugar syrup, closed them up and left. Saturday and Sunday were nice
but Monday, Tue, and Wed-cold and nasty. I left most of the sugar plug in
the queen cage.

I went to check on Her Highness-no sign of queen(she was marked), eggs or
brood. What are the chances she is alive? I will check again Saturday. If
again there is no sign, I have another small hive I can combine with this
one that is queen right.
