If it affects only Apis Mellifera then I wonder what is all the fuss about.  We do not face doom and gloom in the human food chain with the effects of no pollination, all that we need do is to switch to say Apis Cerana and pollination still takes place.  A. Cerana are said to manage varroa more efficiently of their own accord and to also consume less sugar in the periods where feeding is required.

I guess I am missing the point as usual ....................
