Maybe Dee has a handling technique that differs from the usual. The best
advice I was given as a beginner was to move your hands around, not over
and open hive or, if necessary to move them over, to do so at half
speed. Chris

Yes Dees bees are manage different each hive is isolated from each hive
by at least 3 feet or more so when you work one you do not disturb the
hive not being worked.
Her yards are at least a quarter acre in area.
