Hello All and Peter

I would add to what Peter has said. If you place a good smear of vaseline
(petroleum jelly) on all surfaces which touch (best done before the hive has
any bees), this minimises the bees propolising the hive and it will be a joy
to work with. No bick crack the hive when the inner cover is lifted - it can
be lifted using your hands and a twisting motion. The same for queen
excluder and lifting out the frames. Well worth doing.

Sincerely
Tom Barrett
