It is encouraging that Randy acknowledges that minor variants of concepts have been UNjustly rejected in past decades,

Ideas belong to their times. Ideas  can be rejected because ahead of their time. Their time can come, in beekeeping as in other fields. 

The current human race evolved 250, 000 years ago. There was then no need for the level of intelligence needed for space travel.  Luckily the genes survived.
