I agree with Medhat--alcohol is less dense than water, so mites are less
buoyant in alcohol.

I personally don't care for windshield wiper fluid due to the colorant and
the bubbles.  We have great results with the most inexpensive isopropyl
alcohol I can find--50% isopropyl rubbing alcohol from the dollar store.
