>This is the main problem with aggressive bees. Beekeepers can deal with them ...

We have a very aggressive colony to deal with next week. It belongs to one of our Association members. It was bad at the end of last year and is worse now; they are unable to go into their garden without getting stung and the bees follow them to the house.

Bit early to raise any new queens - no drones on the wing here yet - so we intend to remove the queen and then unite it to her other hive which seems to be OK. Should be a fun exercise!

We see extreme temper like this from time to time as a result of local beekeepers bringing in unwanted races of bees which can produce some awful hybrids. I have handled 'killer' bees, but have seen worse in the UK.

Best wishes
