My post raised another observation/question. What if the delay in releasing queens is a cause of queen failure with newly installed packages.

The supercedure that happens is what almost always happens with a swarm also. Its 100% normal for swarms to replace the queen right after the big move.


Nature of the bees is to swarm out with the old queen,  and then 2 weeks after the move,  off with her head to speak....


Reality shoots a bit of a hole in that "Old queens" are better theory as in nature succeful queens buildup quick,  swarm,  and are replaced all in one season...
