The fatal flaw in this line of reasoning is that our border is closed to importers, not bees. Have you ever seen how many hives are placed along each side of our very long Can- USA border?



Did the import ban stop the spread of HBTM, Varroa or R AFB?



And what about the chalk brood susceptible stock we are currently importing from Australia and New Zealand?



I would rather import from areas with similiar disease and pest pressures as what we already see in this country.
