The manufacturers of a wasp trap (WaspBane) claim that poorly designed traps
that allow some wasps to escape will result in those wasps recruiting others
to the food source.  My understanding is that wasps do not recruit.

Have they got it wrong, or is there some new work since 'Social Wasps' was
published in 1980?
