Lambert van der Veen suggests adding thymol to 60% sugar syrup.  I believe Allen was adding 2 grams of thymol to 1 gallon of syrup.  I thought I marked that post back in my archives, but now I can't find it.

At the risk of implicating a fellow beek by my ignorance, what have you others done with thymol dissolved into alcohol mixed into sugar syrup.  What's the amount of actual thymol that ends up in a gallon of syrup?
