D. Hackenburg comes up often as as spokesman for CCD since he says he suffered its consequences. It is also known that he was told last year when in Maine in blueberries that his bees would collapse from Varroa if he did not act then.

Maybe it was CCD, but with the warning followed by the predicted collapse, as a scientist, I would not base any CCD findings on his colonies, even if it is CCD. Too much cause and effect at play. But it appears that is exactly what is happening.
