I had another idea last night that can possibly validate my thinking on the cheap.

Some of the same enteral products I sold are on the shelf at CVS. Ensure ( Ross Labs (Abbot Labs)) a competitive product and Carnation Boost. We sold Nutrin but. Boost is about the same thing. These are about 1 Kcal/ml too low for bees. They have a good protein and fat profile. Ours had complex carbs, polysaccharides and starch. This kept the osmolarity lower and wouldn't spike blood sugar. Ensure has been reformulated. It used to be all simple sugars.

I am going home to see my parents next week in Southern Illinois. There is no CVS within 50 miles of my farm.

I'll buy and enrich a can of each with table sugar in the blender.

I want to see if the bees will take it from an upside down bottle.

It should cost me 2 or three dollars to find out.

Geoff...Have not looked at your link...I will today or in a day or two. Thanks.

JB
