Might bee a fairly easy project for a master's thesis to do.   Think you could add a radioactive marker to some wax and add it in various forms; i.e. a strip of wax within the hive, added wax coating to plastic foundation; flakes added to a small area of the hive.   Later all the combs could bee monitored for the presence of this tagged wax to see where and how much this wax was distributed throughout the hive. Mike in LA
